Driver Profiles: Jonny Adam

Jonny Adam is a factory Aston Martin Racing Driver, and currently competes in the British GT Championship and the World Endurance Championship.

Career

Le Mans 24 Hours

In 2017, Jonny Adam won the GTE Pro class of the Le Mans 24 Hours race. Jonny formed a 3 driver line up, in the factory entered 97 car.

British GT

Jonny Adam has competed in the British GT Championship since 2011. Initially he partnered Andrew Howard in the Beechdean AMR team, driving an Aston Martin. In 2015, the pairing won the GT3 class title in the championship.

In 2016, Jonny moved to TF Sport, another Aston Martn team, pairing up with Derek Johnston. Following Jonny's sucess in 2015, the pairing won the the GT3 championship in 2016.

In 2018, Jonny has moved to his third Aston Martin team, pairing up with Flick Haigh at Optimum Motorsport. The pairing won the championship, with Jonny winning a record breaking third British GT championship. Flick Haigh also became the first female to win the top class British GT championship.

British Touring Car Championship

In 2009, Jonny stepped up to the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), competing with the Airwaves BMW team. He finished 8th overall in the championship, and was top rookie.

Seat Cupra Champiosnhip

From 2006 to 2008, Jonny Adam competed in the Seat Cupra Championship, a one make touring car series that supported the British Touring Car Championship. Jonny finish 3rd in the championship in 2006, before going on to win the championship in 2007 and 2008.
